And our journey came to an end. For now.

We are happy to be back at home, see our family and friends, exchange stories and hang out. But we are decided to make this experience a lifestyle and for that we come back with a bundle of exciting projects and ideas.

On the trip, we met with dozens of people doing the same than us, kind of. A German young couple in Agra, a nurse and an ambulance driver, aiming for six months of travel. A couple from London, he was a banker and she his receptionist, traveling for two years total, planning to get married in Bali. We ran into  them many times in India and Nepal. An Italian guy, unknown occupation, we met in a plane.  He was going back to Europe for the festivals season, to sell one thousand pizzas on an event and save that money to keep traveling for another year.  Another Italian, Ricardo, an artist in his sixties, who was staying next door in Ubud. He didn’t remember how long he was traveling already, he has been everywhere, he spoke with me in a perfect porteno Spanish, and with Mazi in a funny Italianate English. He was going to check out Sri Lanka next.

They were very assortment people, no one was rich, but all were happy. They were in their 20’s and their 30’s , 40’s and so on. What we all have in common was our passion for travel, our curiosity of the world and our thirst to learn more about it.

There were many things that inspired us to do this trip. Among them, there are two books that share our philosophy:  The 4-hour workweek, by Tim Ferris (who’s revolution is present around the world), and Vagabonding, by travel writer Rolf Potts. They helped us to shape our ideas and make a dream of a lifetime became true.

We are back at home now, but we still have many posts to share with you, many countries and places we want to talk about. Send us your questions and comments about places we’ve been, or share with us secrets about yours, because it is not necessary to travel far to see exciting things, we just need to keep our eyes wide open and a fresh look.

Until the next Trip!
